A note about our 2017 Survey
In the summer of 2017 we asked many of you to take time to complete a survey that was aimed at determining what challenges recent graduate vets faced in Ireland at the time. We are so grateful to those that took time out of their day to fill out the survey with such honesty. We cannot thank people enough. This survey was very useful to inform us of what the big concerns were for vets at that time. Unfortunately the recent changes to GDPR regulations have meant that we cannot publish the information collated in the public domain – specifically the new GDPR requirement to seek ethical approval for surveys and the requirement for a facility to allow each individual to give permission to publish the final data.
For that reason we are launching a new Retention and Recruitment survey and have met all GDPR requirements. These new questions have been formed based on the information we received from our original survey. We are moving forward with this new survey with a view to publishing this information and are once again reaching out to our supporters to get behind us. We are very determined to regroup and finish what we had set out to achieve in 2017.
Thank you
Recruitment and Retention Survey 2019
There is currently a lot of discussion about issues with recruitment and retention in the veterinary profession. However the reasons why are anecdotal and there is a lack of actual data to ascertain the key factors contributing to this problem. We would like to ask all veterinary surgeons for their help in identifying the factors that are contributing to this issue.
The aims are to determine why is there a recruitment and retention problem in the veterinary profession in Ireland and to determine patterns and trends in relation to the salary or pay and associated terms and conditions available to registrants working in the Republic of Ireland.
The survey takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
