The Progressive Veterinary Network (PVN) held its annual Summer CPD and Social event in the Hodson Bay Hotel, Athlone on June 8th.\u00a0 PVN would like to extend its thanks to the many delegates who supported the event and to their kind sponsors (Bayer, MSD, Hills, Interchem, Vetquinol, Norbrook, Forte Healthcare, Chanelle Pharma, Zoetis, Bluegrass). The event welcomed esteemed speakers from home and abroad and the PVN are extremely grateful for their contribution on the day.<\/p>\n

The PVN was established by a group of enthusiastic recent graduates in 2014. They work to improve working conditions of all veterinary surgeons working in Ireland and in particular provide support to new and recent veterinary medicine graduates. They have established a private Facebook group for veterinary professionals to discuss cases and industry related topics. The group has over 1,000 members currently and can be accessed by searching for \u201cVeterinary Voices Ireland\u201d on Facebook.<\/p>\n

The PVN are currently asking veterinary professionals for their help by completing their survey on recruitment and retention in the profession. They aim to publish their findings.
